Windows Server 2003 SP2 RTM!

How to Slipstream Windows Server 2003 SP2 into Windows Server 2003 - create an 'integrated Windows Server 2003 SP2 CD'.

 

Download Windows Server 2003 SP2 save it in a folder in your PC.

Example: C:\sp2

Copy the entire contents of the Windows Server 2003 CD to your PC into a folder called 2003CD.

Example: C:\2003cd

Open the comment prompt (Start | run | cmd ) and go to the folder where the SP2 file is and type:

WindowsServer2003-KB914961-SP2-x86-ENU.exe -x

The files will extract to a folder where you choose - use c:\sp2

After the files are extracted, go to the SP2 UPDATE folder ( type in: cd \i386\update )

Type in the following: update /s:c:\2003cd

The files will 'integrated' itself into the Windows Server 2003 CD that you copied on your PC - c:\2003cd

 

To create a bootable CD:

Create a boot loader.

Start Nero Burning ROM choose CD-ROM (Boot) in the New Compilation window.

On the Boot tab, select Image file under Source of boot image data, and browse to the location of the boot loader file.

Also enable Expert Settings, choosing No Emulation, and changing the Number of loaded sectors to 4 - or the CD will NOT boot!

Select and drag all the files that are in c:\2003cd into Nero and burn the CD!

Enjoy your bootable Windows Server 2003 SP2 CD!

 

Windows Server 2003 SP1
