Windows 2000 SP4 How to Slipstream Windows 2000 SP4 into Windows 2000 - create an 'integrated Windows 2000 SP4 CD'. Download Windows 2000 SP4 save it in a folder in your PC.
Copy the entire contents of the Windows 2000 CD to your PC into a folder called 2000CD. Example: C:\2000cd Open the comment prompt (Start | run | cmd ) and go to the folder where the SP4 file is and type: W2KSP4_EN.EXE -x The files will extract to a folder where you choose - use c:\sp4 After the files are extracted, go to the SP4 UPDATE folder ( type in: cd \i386\update ) Type in the following: update /s:c:\2000cd The files will 'integrated' itself into the Windows 2000 CD that you copied on your PC - c:\2000cd
To create a bootable CD: Download the BOOT LOADER (click here) Start Nero Burning ROM choose CD-ROM (Boot) in the New Compilation window. On the Boot tab, select Image file under Source of boot image data, and browse to the location of the win2kboot.bin file. Also enable Expert Settings, choosing No Emulation, and changing the Number of loaded sectors to 4 - or the CD will NOT boot! Select and drag all the files that are in c:\2000cd into Nero and burn the CD! Enjoy your bootable Windows 2000 SP4 CD!
